Green Oak is the second main character of the manga series Pokémon Adventures. He is the grandson of Professor Oak. His first Pokémon was a Scyther -- he is shown with one when he was a child. When he was young, he trained in Johto under Chuck, the Gym Leader of Cianwood City. Green's special skill, as described by Professor Oak, is Pokémon training -- that is, leveling them up and making them strong, and as such is referred to as the "Trainer".

Green has a serious, calm, and focused personality in everything he does. Although Red and Blue were once bothered by each other because their personalities are so opposite, they ended up resolving their differences.

(( OOC: Hey guys, I’ll be making some posts later tonight as both Crystal and Green. I just wanted to let you all know I’ll be active all this week, but work left me feeling a little beat… but I’m off all the way through Tuesday, and then I’ll be off Friday through Monday. I’ll be doing my best to stay super-super active through all of that so we can get this roleplay off of the ground! ))

Cutie? He leaned back away from her, tipping his head back just a bit so it appeared he was glancing just above the round of her head. He was well aware of the game she enjoyed playing and he was very quick to end them.

“Hm? So, where’s Grandpa and Red? I kind of find it hard to believe you beat them here,” Smoothly, he slipped his hands back in to his pockets, cocking his head at the smaller girl. ”I guess we all have to grow up some time, huh?” His eyes narrowed and a coy smile was drawn on his lips. The boy walked around her, with slow deliberate steps.

It was starting to concern him now. Sure, Red was an idiot, but to be this late? Grandpa was eccentric, so there really was no telling where he was. Now behind Blue, Green pulled a hand from his pocket and reached to touch the girl gently on the shoulder, curving his shape around hers to where his lips where at her ear.

“Hey, let’s go and look for them. I’m getting tired of standing around.”

With that, he moved away once more and made his way out the door, the hand that had once been on her shoulder now combing thoughtfully through his hair.

Annoyance, which was supposed to show on Green, flashed instead in those blue eyes. It quickly melted away as her eyes narrowed into cunning delight.

It seemed like someone was finally growing up as well.

Quick, fluid steps brought the brunette behind the other, close enough so she could accidentally brush her chest against his arm. Looking elsewhere but keeping the trainer in her peripheral vision, she pretended to study the layout of the laboratory.

“Oh, did Professor Oak change his layout? I don`t remember that plant being over there…“

She giggled before letting her hand accidentally collide with his while she pouted her lips.

“It`s a good thing a girl has such a strong, smart guy like you guiding her around!“

What was she trying to do now? Her body language indicated that she was going to attempt to win this game; he was going to stop these advances. Green rolled his shoulders when she brushed against his bicep, a single brow arched with interest — that was playing dirty, but that’s exactly what he was expecting of her.

"Mm. Yeah, I don’t remember it either." The boy looked away, clearly not interested in the plant or anything she had to say at this point. Not that he didn’t want to know what she had been doing all of this time, but he didn’t want to give her the satisfaction of his interest.

When her hand touched his, he responded by grabbing it gently; however, his expression did not change. The brunette glanced across at her.

"Yeah, I’m surprised you managed to get here on your own." He then released her, sliding his hands back in to his pockets. Now, he would just simply act as if nothing had happened.

"When do you think Red will get here?"

He had been waiting well over an hour now for everyone to arrive; lucky for them, he was a patient man. Green paced around the room with hands in his pockets and eyes closed… he was a bit restless though.

The boy smoothed back a tuft of silky brown hair. Maybe they had allmisunderstood the meaning of “urgent”. He was just about to head towards the door when a familiar figure made her way through. A smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth as he approached her.

“Late as always, Blue,” he leaned forward, his nose about an inch from hers and opened his evergreen eyes.

This was a rather close greeting, wasn`t it? Of course, the girl didn`t mind at all. In fact, she took it as a challenge to see just how much she could push him until he got annoyed.

“Oh, did I take too long? I`m sorry to keep you waiting, cutie,“ Blue responded with a giggle.

There didn`t seem to be anyone around yet, which she found odd—Professor Oak was usually punctual himself, wasn`t he? Blue shrugged off the thought, causing a cascade of brown strands to fall over her shoulder. Pressing her lips together to form a mischievous smile, she figured she could at least cause a little mischief in this boring town.

Blue knew it shouldn`t be possible for the average pokemon to use Hydro Pump as a substitute for Fly, but she wasn`t the…

Green had already been waiting inside of the lab for ten minutes. He rolled his eyes and leaned back against the table, his fingers curled around the edge. How long would it take those other two to get here? Grandpa wasn’t here quite yet either. Now where could he be?

"Tch."

The boy lifted a hand to run slender digits through his hair as he idly glanced around the musty, old room. It had been years, but it felt like only days since he’d first started his adventure in this place. Green pushed himself from the table, arms now folded across his chest, as he took well placed steps to survey the area. He could feel a smile forming on his lips.

"Heh."

“—There are no leads as to why these Pokemon are attacking their owners. In other news…“

The television screen turned black. Blue set down her remote control as her mouth stretched into a taught frown. Things were becoming hectic on the mainland—what could the source be? Team Rocket had disbanded…

The boy pushed open and walked through the large doors of the Viridian Gym. He was aware that it was very unbecoming of a Gym Leader to leave his post; however, his grandfather had only left him only a single, urgent message that was quite persuasive.

"I need you here at the lab now!”

Green didn’t need any more reason than that and it wasn’t unusual for the Viridian Gym to be closed now was it?

The boy pulled a sphere from his pocket and as it expanded in his hand it released a Pidgeot. He climbed on to it’s back, reaching around to rub the bird along it’s throat. It cooed in response and began to flap it’s massive wings, before ascending to the sky.

They’d be in Pallet Town soon.
